Small, simple features
I love finding little unexpected nuggets in things. Apple has done this for years and it comes almost like a ‘secret hiding place’ when you find one. I was on NYTimes website today and unintentionally highlighted a word and found a nugget. Brilliant. See video for more.

A-Rod money versus bailout money
With so much in the news lately about both the economy and it’s bailouts as well as the Alex Rodriquez/steroid talk I figured I’d do a merge and some math with the two topics. Fact: A-Rod got a 10-year $252 million dollar contract…the largest in sports history. With the bailout money hitting $2 trillion dollars…we, the taxpayers, could pay him 8,000 times over....

Gastric Bypass | 2 year anniversary post-op
Today marks the two year anniversary of my gastric bypass ROUX-en-Y procedure. I have stayed within 10-20 pounds of my lightest weight since hitting it over two and a half years ago. At my lowest I was 190 and this morning I weighed in at 205. I’ve recently gotten up to 212 and have started working my way back down by counting calories and getting back into working out. I have never had the desire to write my congressman or representative because I knew what the end result would be. It has a greater than 50% chance of being thrown straight away and if by some miraculous occurrence it got opened, it would’ve been by a staffer that would skim over it real quick, and then they would proceed to wad it up and work on their twenty foot jumper towards the...
