Hello everybody,

Just thought I would make mention of some of the changes made here on the little website, most which are completely invisible to you all but hey, I got nothing better to do right this second.

Blog update

I updated Wordpress to the new 2.0 settings which adds a bunch of nice features, mainly backend, to post, feeds, administration, and such.

Web Design Update

After updating the blog I decided that it was bout time for a new design look so I played around last night and found this theme and then tweaked it out to include my own stuff in it. Wordpress is so easy now it took maybe an hour to do. Still need to update the picture up top though.
RSS Feed Regrouping

Got to thinking of my RSS feeds and that they don’t effectively work for me as well as I’d like. Ya see, if I wanted to post a podcast then it would show up in the same single feed i had for all posts, so the FBD’s would be getting in the way of the tech news, or Baby G news, whatever…it would all be on the same feed. So I did some searching and came across a cool plug-in that will parse out each post based on category in a feed, so now all my FBD posts will be under the Fat Boy Diaries category, and therefore, on its own feed.

For you firefox users, you can click the live bookmark icon at the right of the address bar and see all the options. The great thing about all this is that b/c I use feedburner for my podcast RSS feed that all I needed to do was update the settings in feedburner and nobody would be the wiser.

It’s posts like these that I realize how much of a geek i am, but hopefully somebody can understand and appreciate my work b/c I think it’s cool.
