Austin, here I come.

Well, on Monday I signed up to go to the SXSW (South by Southwest) festival down in Austin. Now, generally this festival is most well known as a music festival but I won’t be attending any of that (it’s the week after i leave, of course) but I will be attending the ‘interactive’ part that discusses emerging trends and technologies. Well, here, let’s let SXSW explain it:

“An incubator of new, cutting-edge technologies, the SXSW Interactive Festival is ground zero for the world’s most creative web developers, designers, bloggers, wireless innovators and new media entrepreneurs. Stay ahead of the curve by attending this annual gathering of the brightest minds in emerging technology.”

Personally, I feel that I’m pretty up to date on the latest/greatest app’s and tech. out there but I’m really excited to just be around those type of people and listening to what their doing and hopefully get even more inspired and bring some of that back to our business.

Ya know, now that I think about it, I haven’t really talked about what I do much on my blog b/c, well, I guess I haven’t really felt drawn to do so…….so why start now?!

Hah, just kidding… the root of my job is helping banks be better banks…but alliteration aside, we provide IT services for all types of financial insitution. We do IT auditing, virtual CIO services, we build policies or disaster recovery plans, whatever they need. We are a small family-owned firm but are growing fast and starting to make quite a stir around Texas and its surrounding states. We are good at what we do but ensure we do it with a high amount of service and value.

Anyway, I won’t get into a pitch, in short:

- We’re busy as hell
- I love working with the people that I do
- And with the things we have on the horizon, we won’t be slowing down.
