We have a winner.

After my initial dilemma, it’s official, I bought a the 8125 last weekend.
I got to play with the Moto Q in a Best Buy and just didn’t like it all that much. There is, indeed, no touch screen and the thumb scroll doesn’t work well for me. Hell, I couldn’t even figure out how to click the Start button. That and the buttons were pretty small for these claws of mine. I’m happy about my decision now.

OK, back to the 8125, I’ve been setting up this week and it has been great so far. I have all my contacts synced and still working on my calendar stuff. (I use Google Calendar for my calendaring so I have to figure out a way to sync through Outlook. Currently, trying to use the RemotCalendar plugin to Outlook to publish my Google calendar but having problems with it).

Honestly, I wish there was a way I didn’t have to use M$ for everything, like Activesync and/or Outlook for my syncing but I haven’t found any alternative. Any ideas you guys? Is this even possible?

I got the data package through Cingular and seems to be plenty fast for me. I also installed the Opera browser for Pocket PC and it is definitely faster than IE. BTW, where’s the Firefox version?

Anyway, more to come later after settling in a bit more but wanted to let everyone know!
