Five Things you probably don’t know about me

As everyone is fully aware by now this little meme has been going around the blogosphere for the past few months now and I’ve decide to play my part in the process. Well, here goes:

1) I have a unhealthy liking of NSYNC. Sigh, it’s true… I have every record they produced (excluding the Christmas album) and at one point had random clips of them performing at the VMA’s or a clip of them doing acapella on a commericial jet on my hard drive. Since their apparent breakup I’ve filtered down to even owning Timberlake’s stuff. Worst of all probably, I even went to a NSYNC concert. Guilty as charged.

2) Considering going back to school. Been in the ‘real world’ for a while now and although I’m getting the hang of it I’ve had a resurgent desire of the academia. I am reading more books than I ever have and really enjoy it, it’s become therapeutic even. That’s why desires to go back and complete my CS degree (would then give me a double major) or to go to graduate school has real appeal to me.

3) Spent 6 weeks driving to Alaska after high school. This was a dream of my dad’s ever since I was born. So when I graduated high school my family and I took 6 weeks to drive from Dallas, TX to Wasilla, AK. Caveat: Dad and I did in a trike (3-wheeled motorcycle/example). Was easily once of the coolest experiences of my life and hope to be able to pass on the tradition to ‘my favorite child’. ;)

4) I’m a closet fan of the hairdresser reality show, Blowout. This one I just about left off…but I hopefully can convince you why. I enjoyed the show mainly due to its subtle backstory of a man trying to startup a business and make it work despite the drama. I am a man in this very situation so it wasn’t a stretch to be able for me to relate to Jonathan. And ok, fine, the drama is icing.

5) Considering bariatric surgery. Only a select few knew this one. I’ve been battling with weight issues since middle school and feel like I have no other choice at this point. I have the feeling of I’ve got to do something or fear the consequences. I’ve attempted lots of diets, workout regimes, and even tried exposing the truths of my failures via my other ‘now sold’ website fatboydiaries.com but I keep failing. I’ve already have the pretesting done and now just need to schedule the surgery. It will take a significant strain on my family monetarily but I believe the end result can’t be paid for.

There you go and in regards to #1 and #4, I promise to return my ‘man card’ tomorrow.
